Gareth Pugh Pitti 2011
Gareth Pugh collaborates once again with Ruth H0gben on another strikingly edgy film for Pitti 2011 and it’s quite interesting. This 10 minute video is giving me chills from the creepy black and white filming of figures moving in and out of the darkness to human figurines towering high above the rest. It does require the viewer to enjoy interesting and weird creativity though, it isn’t something “normal” to say the least.
Ferocious Fashion.
Lanvin of course produces ad campaigns that get the attention that they much deserve. The S/S 2011 collection is absolutly beautiful and from these pictures from their latest ads, The ads have a neat vintage feel to them that speaks to the 70s period that inspired the fashion. Note how the furniture fabrics–velvet, fur, sheepskin, are also consistent with current trends and speak to the brand’s Autumn offerings. I’m liking these a lot.
